El Farol Restaurant is committed to help mitigate the widespread community transmission of the new COVID-19, coronavirus by implementing additional safety precautions beyond our already rigorous cleaning standards:
We have trained our entire team, both front of the house staff and kitchen on the current threat of the virus and best practices for prevention.
We have directed our team members to continue following our strict safety principles and, out of an abundance of caution, to increase the frequency of hand-washing and continued use of food safety gloves when handling food.
We are diligently cleaning and sanitizing all frequently contacted surfaces with increased regularity throughout the restaurant.
We have instructed team members that should they experience cold or flu-like symptoms, or come in contact with an infected individual, to stay home and follow up with their medical provider.
Clearing out half of our tables and seating capacity to provide good distance and make our customers feel safe.
Between seatings, we make sure to clean and sanitize table condiments, digital ordering devices, check presenters, self-service areas, tabletops, and common touch areas. Single-use items are discarded such as disposable menus at each service.
Cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing our restrooms every 30 minutes.
Providing individually wrapped towelette sanitizing hand wipes for every guests at the end of each service.
Hand Sanitizers, Disinfecting Wipes are provided to our dining guests - hand washing is always the best prevention.

Practicing a good hygiene protects you against infection, whether you're at the comfort of your home or traveling – washing your hands frequently with soap or alcohol-based sanitizer, maintaining distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing, and avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth. If you become sick, please seek medical attention quickly.
